Can you post a blog or an article online about a hospital negative ER experience legally?
2 Comments | Posted by admin in Uncategorized
I had an experience where an ER nurse threatened security on me and told me to go back to my room. I asked for her name, she refused and wrote on my medical record that I was demanding narcotics because I was going to file a formal complaint about her. I wasn’t even there for pain but a brain cyst.
Can I tell me story and give this hospital negative publicity since they are ignoring my complaint?

You can post it as long as it is true. I would find someone to listen to my complaint beginning with the head of the hospital. I would report the nurse to the Professional licensing board of your state. You can also report the hospital to the accreditation board.

BLOG are purely opinion. You can post pretty much whatever you want as long as it doesn’t equate to slander or liable.
You can not post outright lies intended to harm reputation (slander).
