President Obama has declared that adults will need an education beyond a high school diploma in order to stay competitive in the changing economy’s workforce. Distance learning allows working students to balance taking classes and completing assignments with their demanding job schedules. Another appeal of online degree programs is that their tuition costs are often less than those associated with obtaining a traditional university education.
Advances in computer technology have resulted in the evolution of distance learning to include online degree programs.
