I plan on joining the Canadian Forces this summer (after graduating high school) and I was wondering if it’s necessary to be really knowledgeable about the army before joining.. I know lots of people that join were either a cadet or had family in the forces but I have absolutely no family thats ever even shown interest in the army, I really don’t know military terminology at all, I don’t really know ranks that well yet or marches or anything like that… will I be able to survive through basic training and whatever else they throw at me? Will they teach me all that kind of stuff there?

I have already done hours and hours of research on the Canadian Forces and I’m learning a lot, I plan on learning all that I can before I leave because I really don’t want to show up unprepared but will my lack of military background be a huge disadvantage? I’m a dancer/cheerleader pretty big girly girl but I want so badly to do something meaningful with my life and I have so much determination to succeed. I have an immense amount of pride for my country and I would love to do what I can to serve.

My ultimate goal is to become a military nurse. So any opinions, suggestions, advice?

I’ve had for a bit less than a week I think. It’s like where my pubic hair is. ><' I'm pretty sure it's not like an ingrown hair because it got pretty big. It seems to be going down today but it's still pretty big. I've had some cysts down there before and they usually go away or at least get so small I never notice them again. ><' It can't be something like... cancer right? I was trying to look around online before asking but I got too... nervous?

I've tried putting pressure on it but it hurt really bad. D=

I'm only 15. T_T

Help? I really don't want to tell my mom because she'll be like "Oh let me have a see" just because she's some nurse type person. -__-

I am 46 year old female,highest grade completed 11th twice .I did take the ged test years ago& failed by 2 points at the time the passes score was 225 now the passing score is 450.I can take this training and pass it ,because i worked in a nursing home for 6years & and helped gnas all the time.I was a activities coordinator.I just want to be able to show that i have the skills to do this job,& who knows LPN in furture.

It’s pretty sad. I am a nursing student and I am looking around and thinking…Dear Lord..our country is going to shambles. I went to a flea market in NJ (from NYC) to see if I could sell down there..to make enough to get myself through college ( it’s 21k per year and I’m not a minority..nor do I have children..so I cannot receive financial aid at the moment).

I went there and was saddened. Gosh, it was the poorest (sp) of the poor all killing themselves to sell super cheap stuff and BARELY selling anything. It was like walking into a nazi ghetto. Ok…maybe not so much..but it was muddy…tables thrown together everywhere…just bad.

I started to think. Gosh, a lot of nurses that I know can barely find a job…that is how bad it is out there. The USA is bringing foreign nurses in (as if there are even that many jobs) and new grads (NURSES) are going on 8 months of not being able to find a job. I know an experienced nurse who was laid off and took 4 months to land her next job. Ugh..and this is in NYC. :-/

My Dad is a Sr. Civil Engineer…VP @ his firm. They made him take a 30% paycut and fire 70 engineers. ENGINEERS??? My friend with a Finance degree had to temp for $11/hr (in NYC) for almost half a year before she could land a perm sub par job.

Ok..so enough of my rambling…I’m sure others have seen this right? Or am I overly aware? It’s really scary and unfortunate that american citizens are going down like this.

So it got me to thinking. What can I do to get ahead? Food, jewelry, cars, businesses…it seems there are a 100 other people competing with you and driving down the price. And I thought of the ONE profession that isn’t in any danger. DOCTORS. Dentists and MD. I’m actually really interested in Naturopathic Med and would like to become a N.D. …that will be 9-12 years of my life.

Are there even any decent careers that take less than 6 years of college anymore?…and that pay somewhat comparable to a doctor? I mean..not even 200,000 a year..but STABLE?

Thoughts? It just struck me..I think even lawyers are struggling right now. Nothing seems safe anymore..unless you wanna go to med school! That’s a nice hole of debt I can dig myself into.

Do you know if you can take Omgea 3 With an SSRI (antidepressant) or Not? I can’t find an Answer online, i’ve read all about the Omega 3 and how it may help alot of health problems and Depression but, most may take it by itself and not with an anitdepressant? My dr kept me on my medicine and ask me to also take the omega 3 , 2 capsules a day for one week after that increase it? have you heard of this? So my main concern is taking it with An SSRI ? And it seems like alot, 1000 each capsule and 2 -3 a day! Thanks alot for any help or info you may have. I will ask my PCP this week just to see what she thinks about but, for now I’m just wondering if anyone might know more about it! Thanks again.

yes, i just wanted to make sure that anyone out there who feels their baby is a piece of crap or if you’re afraid of keeping it or if you know someone who is hurting their baby, there is a law called daniel’s law. it states that ALL medical workers on a hospital grounds accept a child from anyone without any questions asked. please don’t hurt anymore children. they are helpless and adore you more than anything. please if you are considering a late term abortion, just find a nurse the next day. hell you can even find a couple online who want a child and will pay you as well as let you approve of them!

there is no need for babies to suffer.
